Welcome to Maple Go. Maple Go is operated by Chun Shen Tai (individual operator) (“we” or “us”). By using Maple Go, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Maple Go
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Each person may have only one account. You may not register for someone else or transfer your account.
- You have never been suspended by us, and you have not been convicted of a sexual or violent crime.
- The information you provide (including your age and photos) must be true, and your photos must be of you.
2. Real-person verification
All members must pass phone verification and real-person verification (a liveness check and a comparison with their profile photos) before they can match and chat. Verification only confirms that “this is a real person and the photos are of them.” It is not a background check, and it does not mean that we vouch for any member’s identity, intentions or conduct. You will need to verify again after adding new photos.
3. Member conduct
When using Maple Go, you may not:
- Commit fraud, or ask other members for money or loans, or ask them to buy gift cards or cryptocurrency; or solicit investment, wealth management, gambling or any “guaranteed profit” scheme.
- Promote products or services, recruit members, or run sexual services or escort/companionship services.
- Harass, threaten, stalk or discriminate against anyone, or post hate speech.
- Upload nude, sexual or violent content, use other people’s photos, or impersonate anyone.
- Engage in any inappropriate conduct involving minors.
- Use bots, scripts or other automated means to use the service, or try to break or get around our security measures (including scam alerts and the hiding of contact details).
If you break these rules, we may, without notice, remove content, restrict features, suspend or delete your account, and we may report you to law enforcement.
4. Your safety
Meeting new people involves risk, so please use your own judgment. Read the “Dating safety tips” in the app: don’t send money to anyone you haven’t met in person, meet in a public place the first time, and if something feels wrong, report and block. If you encounter fraud or are in physical danger, report it to your local police immediately.
5. Your content
The photos, text and messages you upload remain yours. You permit us to store, process and display this content in order to provide the service (for example, showing it to other members, automated moderation and scam scanning). This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for data we need to keep under our Privacy Policy.
6. Premium (paid subscription)
- Premium is purchased through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google charges you. The price shown on the purchase page applies.
- Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically and is charged at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancellation: Cancel in the subscription settings of the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your Maple Go account does not automatically cancel your subscription. After you cancel, your Premium benefits continue until the end of the current period.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled under Apple’s or Google’s refund policy. Please request them directly from the store.
- If your account is suspended for breaking the rules, subscription fees already paid will not be refunded, unless the law requires otherwise.
- We may change Premium features or prices. We will give advance notice of price changes as required by the store’s rules.
7. Ending use of the service
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We may also terminate the service because of a violation, a legal requirement or the end of our operations, and we will give advance notice to the extent reasonable.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Maple Go is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee that you will find a partner, and we are not responsible for interactions between members, whether online or offline. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Vancouver, British Columbia. This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection given to you by the laws of the place where you live.
10. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes to these Terms, we will notify you in the app. By continuing to use Maple Go after the changes take effect, you agree to the new Terms.
